No comic today - I had the pencilling done, but what with one thing and another never managed to ink it. So instead: Step 1 in the do-it-yourself Ancient Egyptian horn bow kit. once you've caught it, remove horns, shove on wooden stick, add bowstring, and voilà! You have an Early Dynastic horn bow.

Why no comic:

  • Last weekend. getting it together to go to the UK.
  • Monday and Tuesday: Running after real estate agent, organising a viewing of objects in Oxford, getting a room in Oxford. Oh, yeah, and work.
  • Wednesday: packing, last minute errands (gifts for the very nice people who are putting me up and putting up with me)
  • Thursday: flying in to Heathrow and taking the train to Oxford
  • Friday: looking at horn bows.
  • Saturday: off to Monmouth, Wales.
  • Sunday: off to Swansea, Wales.
  • Monday: give lecture about Ancient Egyptian horn bow.
  • Tuesday: enjoy the rest of the conference
  • Wednesday: take train back to London and fly home to Munich.

There is supposed to be a livestream of the conference, but no details known as of writing this (Tuesday, the first one.)

Speaking of TWC, they have a clever contest going on right now:
Have you ever wanted to be a radio supervillain? Or rather, did you have an idea for a villain you'd love to actually hear on a radiostyle podcast?  Submit your idea for a radio supervillain and read about where you can get hundreds of hours of free audio drama done by the impression cast of Decoder Ring Theatre , over at topwebcomics.com.
who wants to be a radio supervillain?

Plus, still selling artwork on DA: here .

- a slightly frazzled Sonia.

Praise, suggestions and fudge brownies can be sent to: Fam.Focke(a)gmx.de (Please replace the (a) with the usual "at" sign... oh, you know the drill.)
