We present to you the cutest scorpion ever! He auditioned for "Scorpion King" but was rejected for not being scary enough. He (or she, I didn't ask) was really tiny, barely longer than the nail on my little finger. For the record: I did not scream, but informed our local help in my excellent Arabic (I could just about handle "fi skorpiun") who then proceeded to humanely trap him (or her) under a glass and set him free outside. Then I took my shower. (By the way, there were two real kings named Scorpion and I doubt either of them could turn into one. The scorpion-shaped deity in Ancient Egypt was female.) TWC vote incentive: for lack of any scorpion-related material, here's a picture of what I was actually doing on that dig. - Sonia |
